UNDP GEF SGP has constructed 400 Energy Efficient Houses for poor in collaboration of Government of Sindh, Pakistan. The title of house is “Benazir House” constructed in nine months period in the three districts of Sindh province Thatta, Badin and Karachi. 400 poor families have been selected and provided the energy efficient earthquake and cyclone resistant low cost houses. Each house consists of two bedrooms, one shower, one latrine with soak pit and kitchen. The house is furnished with clay tile flooring. The electric wiring network of about 800 ft installed in each house with switches/points At least over 1000 persons are trained with the energy-efficient low cost housing technologies
